Golden Lily White Aged Tea (2021)

Golden Lily White Tea is a rare and poetic expression of Fujianese white tea masterpiece, grown in the misty highlands of Daqian county at elevations around 1100 meters. Combining the gentle elegance of traditional white tea with the aromatic intensity of “beauty teas” (mei ren cha), this tea is a result of both natural co-evolution and artisan mastery.

Made from handpicked buds and two leaves of Jin Xuan tea trees, its signature aroma is enhanced by a natural phenomenon: the leaves are gently bitten by small green leafhoppers (Xiaoluyechan), which triggers the production of floral, honeyed terpenes as part of the plant’s defense response. After sun-wilting and slow indoor oxidation, the tea is dried with minimal interference—no rolling, no frying—allowing time and sunlight to complete the transformation.

In the cup, Jinxuan white tea yields a pale golden liquor with a soft, elegant bouquet of wild honey, orchids, and ripe fruit. The flavor is refined and silky, with a lingering aftertaste that seems to hum with the forest’s quiet energy. It carries both the clarity of white tea and the rich complexity of insect-bitten leaves.
